Located at the end of the Harbor among beautiful homes and greenery, this hidden gem offers stunning views of the Topa Mountains. Seabridge is great because it is well-protected from strong winds by break walls and nearby homes, providing a light, refreshing breeze. The calm waters have less boat traffic, making it the safest location in Oxnard for for familys with beginners, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE KIDS, to learn to standup paddle. The Seabridge Marina also features quiet lagoons, perfect for relaxing and picnicking alone or with family and friends, kids in the Splash Paddle Crew named their lounging favorite spots “Pirates Cove & Mud Beach.” These quiet safe lagoons and coves can only be found in the Seabridge Marina Community, in Oxnard. This area also has multiple pumps, to keep the water circulating, keeping the water clean and fresh for the most part.

There are numerous places out there offering a variety of standup paddle board beginner classes and lessons for those eager to learn. Inflatables are the best beginner boards because of the high liter count making them extremely buoyant, making them easier to balance on, they sit higher in the water making them easier to paddle as well.

I don't sell gear, so my advice is personalized for each person. I have a lot of experience with different boards, including race, specialty, standard, and sizes from 7ft to 14ft. I can help you choose a paddle; I recommend an adjustable paddle for both paddle surfing and stand-up paddling, using shorter lengths for surfing. For beginners, I suggest a conversion paddle to switch to kayak mode for safety against wind or tide. My professional background in various places and water activities means you're in good hands; the ocean can be risky.
